My name is Cassandra Fay Ricks, Ph. D. I am an inspirational speaker and writer. I am a retired transpersonal psychologist and educator, with an expertise in working with the inner critic and limiting beliefs by utilizing story as a tool for personal transformation and empowerment. I have survived 6 near-death experiences, and now hope to share what I’ve learned along the way, in conjunction with my natural born gift as one who dances between worlds, to help bring inner peace and clarity to those whose lives have been disrupted by trauma, chronic illness or loss.

My experiences and gifts have enhanced my walks and talks with the spirit realm. As a natural born spiritweaver, I act as a bridge between these spirits and the visible to weave the whispered strands of energy for healing and guidance. I truly believe that words have power and when you weave them into the tapestry of your life, the stories you create magically inspire, heal, and help you learn.

Furthermore, I’m a prolific life-long learner. In addition to holding a Ph.D. in psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, I have Master’s degrees in transpersonal studies and behavioral management, and a B.A. in English Literature. I am certified in energy healing and meditation, health and well-being coaching, and extensively studied empowerment life coaching. I’ve studied with healers, shamans, psychic-mediums, and Wiccan priestesses. Being a mother and grandmother have also provided a wealth of opportunities to grow and learn.

I live in the Maryland suburbs a few miles outside Washington D.C. While I have never climbed the Washington Monument stairs, I love being surrounded by history and living in the midst of diversity and culture. Walking in our Capitol’s patches of nature is a passion… even if I’m allergic to the great outdoors.

My book Pausing Between Breaths is scheduled for a late fall release. I look forward to sharing this first part of my journey with you all.
